The Creation Story
How this blog came about & what it’ll be about?

Wow. It only took me 8 years to finally get this up and running. See, because ever since I was 18, as I was getting ready to move out of my hometown for college, I came to really see & know the importance of my voice and unique story. What a privilege it is to be able to share my life experiences with the world like this. There’s power in doing so, not only for me as I heal, reflect, and grow through some of the blog posts that I will be releasing, but also for the people (millions, I hope) that will be able to learn directly from someone who may even resemble them. A trustworthy voice who writes from the heart, without sugarcoating or avoiding difficult topics.
The reference to eight years ago was a time in 2017 when I was just coming out of an abusive relationship. I give it up to my young teenage self, who despite learning how to love, knew how to take brutal experiences and turn them into lessons to share. That became part of the reason why this blog is coming to life. I found that writing was the best way for me to process, make a point, or simply express myself with what is happening, current world/national/state/local issues, trends, etc. And so, I kept on writing out what I held inside, but always landing it with a message / call to action for myself + others.
A few years after that, I also swore I was going to create this blog again and even posted a hint on the caption of an Instagram post about it coming out. And just like the failed first attempt, other things got in the way of its’ release, although I kept writing blogs on the notes app on my phone. And thus— time for their release! I’ll be sharing entries that have been waiting, ready to be posted (with light edits), and others I come up with on the fly. This space is also for the world to submit their own stories. I’d love to showcase them. We have so much to share with the world.
So, what else to expect?
A special blog series honoring saved blog entries from years ago when I first wanted to start a blog.
Called: “From the Archives — insert theme”
Themes are diverse — but to name a few:
business
health & wellness
lifestyle
travel
think pieces
relationships (romantic, platonic, family, & work)
— really lifestyle encompasses it all. Pretty much trying to say… anything is free game.
Inviting others to share their stories & creative expression.
Some blogs may be turned into other multimedia content.
Merchandise based on blog entries will be available.
When a creative piece is release i.e. poem, acting, song, etc, a behind-the-scenes blog post will be delivered.
No certain cadence to blog entries - just write when called to. At least once a month, if not more.
As excited as I am to talk to you in this way, I’m even more excited to get to know you through this blog with a service, being interviewed for a blog entry, booking for an event, or connecting on social media - that will be the best part! Please help be part of this larger community of thought. We are here for each other. Thanks for reading!
