I`m Maribel; thanks for visiting this blend between a space to highlight who I am, what I’m working on, and a hub for art + storytelling + resources – with a mix of showcasing the talent and knowledge of others – in hopes to create an impact to uplift the world in a productive & positive way.
This website is a “blog + booking page + learning/sharing hub + portfolio” - from my heart to yours.
Also, this is the beginning of a much bigger passion project-in-progress to become a philanthropic business.

Who Am i?
In short, I am a daughter (of God + two Mexican immigrants), sister, tía, friend, scholar, first-gen college graduate, and visionary; some of my favorite roles. I’m also 10 years into a career at the intersection of leadership development, business management, and communications with an eye for creative expression and targeting diverse talent.
My passion for nurturing leadership & personal development has led me to manage national high school leadership programs in Washington D.C, provide strategic direction to the Kansas Leadership Center as a board of director, and co-create the DC TRIO Alumni Association chapter. All three roles speak to my dedication to bring out the best in people and spaces under the belief in everything’s capacity to grow + rise— my work is in helping that growth spark lasting change in lives & in communities.
I’ve always processed the world around me through writing. It started as early as I knew how to hold a pencil. I wrote in my diary about my school crushes, friendships, goals, and aspirations. That journal form of writing has since evolved in creative ways to poetry, spoken word, song, script, speeches, lectures, and blogs — pretty much any artistic way to tell a story and/or share a message. Here is where you will see all that come to life! What’ll be new to the world is old to me; waiting, stored in my brain, the notes app of my iPhone, and the pages of many notebooks.
I can’t wait to see how this space meets you, interacts with you, and opens new paths for us to work together. I hope you see yourself in this work.

What is this website for?
This website will be used as a platform—part blog, part portfolio/booking page, part learning & sharing hub! It’s an idea I’ve had since I was a young teenager. Naturally, this came about by extension of the commitment I hold dearly in supporting human growth and transformation.
This platform is the mission in motion where:
