Wichita State University - Distinguished Scholarship Invitational | Audience: High School Seniors
The Distinguished Scholarship Invitational at Wichita State is one of the area’s most prominent scholarship competitions, including the $64,000 Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships— three of the largest annual undergraduate scholarships in Kansas. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, or 27 ACT score, or 1260 SAT score, or rank in the top 10% of class. They must also have applied for admission to Wichita State when applying to compete. Deadline: Nov. 1, 2025.

Yale Young Global Scholars empowers the next generation of leaders by building a global community and designing interdisciplinary programs that foster intellectual curiosity, deepen understanding and inspire creative action across all borders. The curriculum is highly collaborative, exposing participants to innovative topics while facilitating student discussions shaped by international perspectives. Students have the opportunity to participate in a STEM, social sciences, humanities, or cross-disciplinary track. Deadline: Early Action, October 15 | Regular, March 15.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute has an all-expenses paid leadership experience designed just for high school students to spend a week exploring Washington, D.C., attend civic engagement and leadership workshops, and build lifelong friendships. This week-long opportunity grants accepted students the chance to spend a week in Washington, D.C., exploring the city, learning about the legislative process and developing their leadership skills as emerging leaders. Deadline: January 16.

There are nearly 3,000 courses and labs covering areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, data, machine learning, IT support, and more. The platform supports different learning levels — from beginner-friendly paths to advanced/specialized content. Courses are designed to be practical and hands-on — not just theory. Some use cloud tools, labs, and real-world exercises. The different credentials earned are certificate in result of completing learning paths, skill badges for shorter focused courses, and professional certifications.

The “Wellness Toolkits” are a set of evidence-based resources designed to help people improve their overall health and well-being. Because everyone has unique bodies, lifestyles, and circumstances, therefore there’s no one-size-fits-all “perfect health.” Instead, these toolkits let individuals choose which areas of health they want to focus on. The resources are available in English and Spanish.

Run by the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH), the hub aims to reduce barriers that keep people from eating enough fruits/veggies — including limited awareness, accessibility, or habit/trust — by educating consumers and supporting public-health efforts. It has: recipes & meal ideas, produce information such as nutrition, storage & prep, science & health research/evidence, webinars, expert-led content, & practical tools.

It’s meant as a safe, accessible entry point for people seeking emotional support, therapy, or crisis help — especially fans who may not know where to begin. Therapy platforms (e.g., online or free therapy organizations). It includes mental health & crisis hotlines/resources — including directories and community-specific resources, especially for groups often underserved like the Black & LGBTQIA communities.
Migration & Travel

The “Community Resources” page gathers downloadable materials and tools aimed at two main audiences: community members (immigrants and their families) and advocates/organizations working with immigrants. It’s not a place to get direct individual legal representation — ILRC does not offer case-by-case legal services or consultations. Instead, if someone needs legal representation, the page offers national directories to locate trusted immigration legal service providers, know-your-rights cards & info, community safety tools, and educational guides on immigration.

United We Dream is a national immigrant-youth-led advocacy network focused on supporting immigrants — particularly youth — and pushing for immigrant rights across the U.S - especially DACA. Their “Resources” page serves as a centralized resource library for immigrants, allies, educators, and advocates: offering guides, fact-sheets, articles, toolkits, infographics, and other materials. Materials are organized by topic (e.g. DACA, deportation defense, education justice, health, advocacy) and by type (e.g. guide, article, infographic, video, webinar).

Skyscanner is a flight-searching website that makes travel accessible, affordable, transparent — helping people find the best offers tailored to their needs. Users can search and compare flights, filter results by price or schedule, check flexible dates, track fare changes, explore destinations with the “Everywhere” tool, browse hotels, compare car rentals, and book through trusted travel providers. Instead of typing a destination, you type “Everywhere” on skyscanner then it shows you a list of the cheapest places you can fly to from your home airport, organized by country and price.
